280DA port engine audible alarm motor off

Just started noticing an audible alarm on port motor with engine off, but key switch on. The alarm is 2bp every minute or so. Motor is 2003 merc 5L. All fluids are topped off and gauges are normal reading, similar to stbd. Underway the motor runs fine, sometimes the beep will stop and sometimes not. All gauges and performance is fine from idle to WOT. Any ideas?

Check all your connections to your smart craft. There is an unhappy sensor somewhere.

Also - is there any fault codes on your smartcraft? After turning on ignition and hearing the beeps, go into the service screen and check for active an stored codes. have to do it when power is on as some of them will reset and erase as you cycle the power.
