290 Fuel consumption + fuel flow meters

I’ve had my 2008 Sea Ray 290 5 months Now but have no idea what my fuel consumption is for the boat. Went to www.boat-fuel-economy.com and it listed 15 gph for 300hp engine. Does anyone have most efficient cruise rpm and gph.

also is anyone using a fuel flow system and what is the installation difficulty?

Ralph, you should have Smartcraft gauges or a standalone SC system view? If you cycle through the various pages, there should be a real-time GPH readout. Roughly speaking, small blocks tend to be most efficient on plane around the mid-3000 range.
