Sorry if wrong forum. Any one compare the 300 verado to the 350. We are currently buying a 270sdx and have the option of either. thanks in advance

Have had both on a 35 center console. The 350 is noticeably more powerful and the lower units are more robust. For resale alone it would be worth the 350's

The 300 is a normally aspirated V8 with newer technology while the 350 is a super-charged inline 6? I'm not sure if there are service interval differences and/or cost of service differences between them changing their long term cost of ownership?

When they were both the inline supercharged 6 cylinder, the 350 would be a good choice. I have the inline supercharged 6 cyl 300 hp on mine. It is all the motor you ever need. 50 mph top end, great hole shot, plains easily with 12 people on board.
HOWEVER, now the 300 is the normally aspirated v8 vs the 350 is the supercharged inline 6. The v8 is the superior motor in almost every way. Better low end torque, better fuel economy, lighter, fewer moving pieces. No question, the 300 is the better choice in this situation. It will outperform the 350 everywhere but top speed, where the 350 will be 2mph faster. There are several reports documenting the comparison of the v8 300 versus the inline 6 350 on the same boat, v8 300 is the better choice every time.
The lower units will be the same on both now.

300 v8 every single day.
