My Nova Kool Refrigerator quit working and I need to replace it. The problem is, it's about 1.5 inches to wide with the door in place. I attempted to remove the door by removing it from the trucks and tried to slide the bottom support but there doesn't seem to be enough room to slide out. Any suggestions?

Probably, silly question, but have you tried with fridge door removed and fridge sideways

Yes, with the doors removed it is 22 inches deep, which is the narrowest dimension.
I got the same boat, same refrigerator and experienced the same problem. Did you ever figure out how to get the door either to open wider or removed? I need to get my refrigerator out and a new one in. Which refrigerator did you go with? Thanks for anything you can advise.

Original Poster (jkislingbury) and I communicated separately. He explained how he got the refrigerator out. Basically moving the sun deck wet bar cabinet, then the door. This gives enough room to get the refrigerator out. Lots of small steps but very easy. If anyone needs further, reach out.

Hi guys, anyone know how to remove the steps below the door? I'm trying to get to the aft cabin air conditioning unit. Thanks

I have a 2000, SeaRay 380 aft cabin, with the identical sliding door entry and fridge (Nova Kool) as mentioned in your post. Q What are the steps to removal of the bar cabinet and what type/brand of fridge did you purchase as a replacement, any other steps? Thank you

Brian, how did you get on with this please - I'm in exactly the same position now! Thanks.

Jeff I would welcome info on the small steps- with mine I just can’t see how to get the door out! Thanks in anticipation! Mick.

moving the wet bar means removal of bar fridge and disconnecting some water supplies, cutting all of the caulking - is this what you did please?

Mike, thanks for the update.

If anyone else reading this has info on door removal, I would be eternally grateful!!

AS an fyi.....upon starting to dismantle the rear half of my 37" aft cabin (to remove door), I removed the ice maker tray and some other obstacles and behind a facing panel, just hidden from view, I located a small wooden stop retained by two screws!!.
After removing this stop I was able to get another 1/2" width on the door opening enabling the new fridge to just slide through the gap into the salon!! Success!!!
