Looking at one with V drives 8.2's. Like comments on this model and V drives versus axios Joysticks. I understand the ease of docking with joysticks but corrosion worries me on the sterns. Do all the 2011 Vdrives come with bowthrusters? Looks like the one I saw had the fans below the surface on hull when it was pulled out.

If you are unbiased and shopping the market for boats in this class, you will see many ads that quietly inform the potential customers about boats that do not have Axios as this is ironically now a selling feature given all the issues, downtime and required software upgrades that customers have had to deal with. (Same goes with Cummins/Mercruiser diesel pods IMO.) V drives are almost bullet proof and a bow thruster makes this boat very easy to handle.
Gas would not my preference but might be fine depending on how/where you boat. Expect to pay much less for the gassers as there is much less demand at least at a national/regional level.
EDIT: I'm not sure but by 2011 Searay may have really started pushing this boat with Gas engines and Axius so there may not be many other options out there for this model and model year.

Thanks to all for the comments and being here in Norfolk cannot do the stern joysticks due to corrosion. I would definitely pop for it in fresh water. Saw several 12-14 37's and they are well appointed and nice but the 12 beam a bit narrow feel and same size as the 34's. Honing in on the 39 and these are basically the 38 from 06 to 09. Looked at several Like the newer styling and the hardtop and air con cockpit and thrusters are nice on these. I rather have diesels but very few and don't want or can handle a larger boat. Want the 12.6 beam here on the lower Chesapeake for choppy waters but the 34's with 12 foot beams are great for smaller water. Just seems also too close to my old 26 sundancer and wanted a step up. One concern is the 7.2 Kohler Genex since with two aircon units it might not last 10 years.
