420/44 DB Owners Club

Does your model have a lift up handle in front to change out the brew cups and works while in the cabinet? Or do you have to pull it out to fill water and make coffee?
When we had the 44DB, wife had a small Keurig that fit perfectly in the spot where the built in one used to fit. Moved it with us to the 420DA and fits it fine as well. Have to remove it and sit it on the counter top to use it.

Excuse the mess still working haven’t cleaned up yet. Here is my transducer

We have the small Keurig also. I removed the fridge to add a receptacle to be used on the counter. Only receptacles were inside the cabinets.

Great idea for the added receptacles. The only thing lacking is storage and receptacles in an easy to use place. Every one is in something!!!!!!!

What is everyone using for coffee makers in the 420DB's? I have an empty coffee maker cabinet - boat did not have a coffee maker when I bought it and I need to get one for sure.
Thank you
We use a single serve Keurig. Added a cherry cutting board to the counter and it sits on that beside the fridge. Also added a new outlet under the outboard cupboards at the end of the old coffee maker location, tying into the current coffee maker outlet in the cupboard. I did think of adding one on the fridge side but this location is near hidden but easily accessible.

Nicely done! It if you want to use the stove what do you do with the large cutting board?

Added an outlet in the same spot. Very useful. Would like to relocate the 12 volt receptacle in the neighboring cabinet as well.

Scootie, how do you like the hurley H30 ?

I love it. Well worth the money. I got the extension as well to free up some space on the swim platform and am able to open the rear hatch. I have a 310 Highfield with a 20hp Suzuki and it picks it up effortlessly. My wife has done it easily. I had it tested last year in some nice swells we were running in off Grand Haven Michigan and it had no problems whatsoever.

This is the one I have. Fits perfect.

Thanks for your input, I’m having a hard time trying to find the best davit system for me. The H30 is high on my list of options. Thanks

Can somebody that has a larger transducer for showing bottom detail please take picture in bilge of where it is installed so I can see where I need to start? I have an Airmar B258 I’d like to install and right now there is only the small round transducer installed centerline just aft of the forward engine room bulkhead. It only gives digital depth but no bottom picture so I want to add a large transducer to show bottom detail for fishing. on the parts or owners manual it shows a second transducer starboard and slightly aft of the center transducer for Tri data gauge, but I don’t think putting a large transducer in front of engine water intake would be wise lol. Possibly between the starboard engine water intake and the keel?
Thanks for help

I have a Garmin GR41-THP (thru hull pair). They have a decent size fairing block to them, and are positioned close to the center as possible. The general rule is not to place any thru hull component in a position that could interfere with the water flow line of sight to the propellers. The potential exists it could create flow disturbances resulting in performance deterioration of propulsion. Also keeping some distance from power radiating sources (engines) will reduce the chances of signal interferences.

Interference to props is definitely a big concern for me. I also have thought about putting it slightly aft of the engine water intake and a little offset. Need to check the space for that.
Where are your two located on the boat?

In the two years we have owned this boat we have only used the stove once. The BBQ on the other hand, is well used! If we do need to use the stove, we'd just move it out of the way until done.

I've had the same thought. I don't think I'd take it out as much as add another one that is more accessible. Do you know where you would move it to? I thought maybe beside the outlet on the back of the galley peninsula by the love seat. We don't seem to really use this outlet much except to run a 12v fan occasionally.
