420 DA Thread

Can someone with a 2004+ 420DA tell me how thick the Corian countertop on the wet bar is? The 2003 did not have this option and the wet bar is shaped a little different I think. It is either 1/4” or 1/2”. Thanks!

I saw on the forum a while ago someone found a source for the Taylor made rubber insert that covers the screws at the base of the channel.... I ripped mine out today and marine max was closed. Does anyone have a online source?... I would rather miter and glue it at home anyway.. Thanks

Bennett I am at the boat tomorrow .... where and how do I measure this thickness?

It make a difference if you have the Stainless trim for the windows
That price was stainless...here is their quote.

“We have been told that the 8349040 was used in the stainless steel windshield frames and the 8349030 was used in the aluminum windshield frames”

If you have Corian around the sink on your cockpit wet bar, how thick is it? I think it is 1/2”. We drew our template today and have a guy making us the Corian to cover the bar. Thanks!

Also, take me a pic under your cockpit sink of the solenoid and set up for your windshield washer. Much appreciated!!!

I don’t have corian .... I can do the pics

It’s begun .... early stages of getting rid of that frilly valance or what ever you call it. I am stopping by a friend on my way home that does car/hot rod interiors to see what he recommends to make new and fasten it as I don’t want to screw it in.

Curious as to what you come up with. We have the same all around the salon. Not a fan, we call it the garter belt.

Perfect! Thanks for the pics so I can put this back together. Your cockpit bar is exactly like mine. When I removed the white sink, it pulled up some gelcoat around the edges and the new SS sink would not cover all. It was either some gelcoat repair or cover it. I had seen the Corian on a later model and decided to cover it. We have a template, picked out a matching color, and have a guy making us a countertop to glue on top of the bar. Thanks again for the pics!

Does anybody have a source for this white caps that go over the hinges? Some of mine have broken or gone missing.

Will the windshield washer work with dock water just as it does with the freshwater pump on ?

Bennett
While I don't know this for certain, as my boat is winterized at the moment and I can't test it, I'm going to say that since I can get water out of the cockpit sink when on dockwater, that the windshield washer should also get water. From @Blueone 's picture, the windshield washer T's off of the supply to the cockpit sint.
