460 DA Owners Thread

I contacted Great Lakes Marine Innovations about that really cool ratcheting sun pad for the bow, they had one on display at a show for the 460. Here is his response -

Russ we have had one made however after testing for a year or more we have
determined that it will not hold up to Salt Water, so we have gone back to
the drawing board. I will keep your name and inform you when we get a
redesign completed.

Gary

Do you know if they ever came up with the ratcheting sun pad?

Hi Everyone. Finally bit the bullet and purchased a new (to me) dinghy. working to adjust the chocks to fit right but struggling a little. Can someone possibly explain how to adjust the chocks to squeeze on the hull (upwards/higher) a little more?

also, anyone have the parts # for the carriage bolts/nylon washer and bolt that goes on the chocks? Don't laugh... LOL. I have one (or maybe more) in the drink.

For those of you that have changed out the stock pump for one of Tonys. Do you recall when you did the install was everything needed in the box that the pump came in to swap out. Gaskets ... etc... will in need any gasket sealer?

Mine are at the boat and I cant remember what came in the box.

It was 10 years ago that I switched to the SeaMax pumps so I cannot recall but give SBMar a call. They are very helpful.
With the new pumps the first thing you will notice is more water flow. The running temperatures are pegged at 160 and never vary once engines are warmed up (unless you have the 180 T-stats). Impellers last a lot longer and are much easier to change.

Hello everyone. Tonight I was updating my CO detectors. I seem to have tripped or popped a breaker in the salon and front bedroom on the co detector. (getting no voltage) Is there a 12v breaker box for the salon anyone is aware of inside the boat? Can’t figure out how to reset and cant see an inline fuse.

Check the main breaker box in the portside cabinet for a breaker.

There are inline fuses (1A I think) for each of the smoke detector circuits located behind the main panel above the chair. You have to open it up and look around because they can get tucked behind the other wires.

I started doing that too, but it bugged me so much I kept digging and found the buggers. Now I have two on batteries and one wired. I'll get a pic and post it when I get down to the boat.
Really... I am dying to know where you found them!!!

Doug... this is a fun one! There are 4 inline fuses behind the 12v breaker panel toward the aft head. Took me 3 months to chase them down. I don't know what the 4th one is for... but 3 are for the CO detectors.

Has anyone every tried to pull the stove eye in the galley? I have to pull mine as it is not working. I have power to it and the kill switch/button works so thinking it is the Unit itself. Doesn’t look like it is easy to do.
Thanks

I am trying to replace the bulbs in the instrument panel.
Post 979 mentioned Jtech 10x 194 168 2825 T10 5-SMD bulbs
I installed them and the needle is nice and bright, but the numbers hardly show at all.
Anyone have a better suggestion?
