460 DA Owners Thread

Looks like my AC amp meter isn’t working. I can find the 12v but not the AC. Has Anyone ran into this before or have any ideas? Thanks

(no issues with power, just notice the gauge on amps not responding)

My forward running lights are brittle and have broken into pieces. Anyone know of LEDs that match the same footprint, so we don't need to drill more holes?

I went through this painstaking process last year. I could order the port light but not the stbd. of the same model and vice versa, it drove me Bat SH^% crazy with dealers shipping the wrong part numbers multiple times.

I finally got these from Attwood:
Oval, 2NM, Sidelights 304 Stainless Steel NV1012SS-1.

That being said, I did need to drill a new hole for mounting.

Wolf, thanks so much.

Did the boat originally come with something on the panel to the left? I’ve been reading though manuals thst I got with it and ready about the synchronizer controls... that I can’t seem to find. We’re they on that panel at one time maybe?

That was the remote VHF speaker

Where are your engine switches? Post a pic of them.

I believe for your year of boat that was for the remote VHF speaker. In newer models (480CE) that was lowered and the C Cruise switches (sync) were above it.

Question,

I have the props off the boat. Boat is still in the water. I have a vibration on my port motor. While the props are off I wanted to run the boat in gear in the slip to see if I get the vibration without the props on.

Can you run in gear with the props off?

I only have the switch that you have by your ignition switches. My synchronizer was not working when I bought my boat so I can’t help you with operation.

Sure. Won’t hurt anything.

VHF remote speaker makes sense. I had just read in the manual for the synchronizer that came with the boat that it had preset cruise control switch’s along with others. But maybe that was optional. I’m going have to take that panel off now just to see if anything behind it.
So if it is only a single button foe the sync. Can someone tell me how to engage it? Just flip the switch and use one throttle?

Unfortunately this is my first boat with a synchronizer but it was disconnected by the PO who said it was inoperable. Hopefully someone with experience can help with the operating instructions.

operating should be straight forward,
1. both at idle
2. sync switch on
3. starboard throttle stick runs both up
4. back to idle and switch off

Mine is reversed. I have an 01 and the sync is mechanical so that may be the difference. Anyway. Both at neutral, turn on sync switch. Push stbd all the way forward. Use port to control both.

Bought new Tachs form flounder pounder... Anyone know the MFGR? or where we can send to have the hours programmed??

I have two transducers, one for depth and one for speed and temp. There both probable original. Looking to change and upgrade while out of the water. Anyone replace the factory ones? original equipment was raymarine and new GPS is Garmin 8600. i only need depth / temp.

Looking to replace my sliding door tracks on the 460- has anyone done this and know the measurements off-hand? I need to send them to FP Marine when i order them and figured someone has already done this and they should be the same?
doing the same thing, were you able to get the measurements?
