Since I had a bunch of spare time on my hands over the holidays, I decided to buy myself a new stereo for Christmas. I have one thing I haven't figure out yet. Does anyone know what the small bus bar with the red and green wires is? They come wrapped in the grey sheathing that's stripped back.

So spent the weekend on the boat and Saturday night went to open the coffin to put away my newly acquired life raft and found water dripping from 8 fittings on my manifold. I have actually been expecting this to happen as I have followed TTMOT and it was a matter of time before I need to rework this. Used the Dremel to cut the old pinch clamps off and a heat gun to soften and installed new hose clamps. Took about an hour to do them all. Put pressure back to it and all dry.... Now I need to go to each fitting at each faucet now and replace them over the next weeks. Love boating just when you think you are up to date on maintenance.... boom

That really looks nice!

LOL, I wondered the same thing. I have yet to find them and the only place I have not been yet is behind the electrical panel.

What radio set up did you go with. What are all the changes you are making to the stereo?

Damn Grant, I was sure you'd know what those wires are! Well I did all my speakers last year and went with the Kicker Marine coax and swapped the 10" sub for a 12". I put in the Fusion Apollo hide away unit (the white box in the picture) and I put in a Fusion MS-ERX400 wired remote on the dash where the old Clarion remote was. I also picked up 2 of the small wireless remotes. I have it all working but still need to put the boat back together. It sounds great and I'm super impressed with the Iphone App that controls everything. Best thing is, I'm going to make a false panel that will velcro in place and just velcro it to the hide away unit at the back of the cabinet. This leaves me with extra space in that cabinet where all the old equipment was. Also, I need to get a piece made for the dash as the Fusion remote isn't big enough to cover the hole from the old Clarion remote.

What dash finish do you have? I have one already done in the black burle that I didn't use that was made for the fusion remote. I had to make a new bigger one when I added the VV7. You can have it if you want it.

I don't have one yet. I'd be glad to take that off your hands. Shoot me an email @ jeffrey.vargas@salesforce.com and I'd be glad to pay whatever you want....well, within reason..lol

Grant - I could use that if Jefferey doesn’t need it...
Let me see if I have another... I can’t remember if I got one more from Sam or not. I will look on the boat this weekend.

No worries... I think I need a larger footprint anyway. The PO used a piece of starboard to cover the hole.

10-4 I will look and if I have it I can give you the measurements. Otherwise just call Sam at Techno and give him your size and model of Fusion he whipped these out quick.

Wanted to send a thank you out to Jim Meier at Sea Ray for helping me get a diagram on how to get my door out. This thing bugs me. While it slides I don't like the "feel" and want to work on it. I couldn't figure out how they got it out and asked for the diagram and within 24 hours I had it from them. Great service!!! I wanted to share it with the group here in case you may ever need it.

Let us know what you end up doing to get it to slide better. My is tough to slide as well and I'd probably like to clean that area really well.

Worked on my stereo today. I bought the hide-away Fusion stereo and the remote for the dash. The App works amazing and I can do everything from the phone. Just needed the dash remote to cover the hole. I also bought a couple of the Blue Tooth round remotes. The big Plus was that I gained storage space! The question I have, why do my pics always turn sideways? I can't get them to post correctly....ughhh

Finally an easy question. Just crop your photos a bit, and they'll hold their orientation.

Just got my inflatable fenders and air gun. Takes less than a minute to inflate each fender. Now I can deflate, roll up and store easily under a seat. These will work perfectly when we travel away from the home port and not take up valuable storage space.
