I am not sure if it effects 07s but my cabinets are delaminating on a lot of the edges. Mostly on the doors to the cabinets.

Go to SBMAR.com and read Tony’s tips specifically on the QSM11 engine and that will be your best up to date info on your engines.

The QSM11 is a bulletproof engine with dry exhaust manifold leak issues that need attention and understanding. Cummins has specific recommendations for maintaining the raw water cooling side with recommended pull down & cleaning. Again Tony at SBmar will fill you in on his recommendations.

Proving these engines properly based on engine needs not specific hull or marketing needs is paramount.

What water and temperature conditions can improve or increase EGT temperature issues.

Love the boat just gotta know how to take care of her properly.

The center panel does not open. That is a draw back but I do open the sides to provide airflow.

We had a windshield made (see photo) by a guy in Seattle - he custom makes it using automotive glass, and glues it into a canvas frame. It's been great.

You can also note that we had the side panels cut and trimmed, so we can open them. fly windshield.jpg

Can your glass panel be opened and pinned up as the plastic panels can.

No - it's too heavy. But we also never opened it before.

Given the wet weather we experience a lot of the year, this works really well.

Thanks for the info. It looks good. I really enjoy having mine up but when it gets wet out I hate getting the bridge all wet so we put it down but then I can’t see very well.
I was running back from Nantucket on Sunday in 2-4ft seas on my front port corner so tons of spray coming up on the bridge so we had it down to stay dry. A high speed ferry was About 1mi dead ahead coming towards me and and he all of a sudden swerved hard to Stbd and then back to port. After the maneuver he hailed me (I love AIS) and told
me he just missed a large tree trunk floating at the surface. I immediately slowed and raised my front panel so we could see and we saw it as we went by but who knows if I would have seen it with spray all Over the front panel. Your windows with wipers would help with that a lot.

Have any of you heard of Cool2CY? It is a tinted hard isenglass...

Seems nice and clear and also seems to deflect the heat pretty well however it can’t be rolled up.

The owner designed the front and rear panels to swing up and attach to the ceiling of the hardtop.

As much as I hate isengless I think I would like the option to roll up.

I may be able to pull pieces out and store below for the nice weather day...

    Anyone else have Cool2CY glass?

Our entire enclosure is made of EZ2CY and the front panel and 2 rear panels open and snap to the ceiling
It is sometimes difficult to see when taking spray on the nose
I’ve heard rainx helps the water run off but haven’t tried it
We use the AC a lot and I removed the hatch above the helm turned it around to catch air and it made a huge difference

Read thru here and thru the QSM-11 thread. Lots of info about the dry exhaust on these motors. Otherwise, good luck!!

In addition to the dry exhaust, the rear heat exchanger bracket is known to develop a crack. I had new brackets made. Also just an FYI if you will be doing your own maintenance, there are 3 “pencil” zincs on each engine plus 2 on fuel and fluid coolers. The port fuel cooler is not the easiest to get to. I access it from the front of the engine and use a long extension. The port raw water impeller is also a PITA to get access to. Luckily they last a real long time. I personally went 8 years without changing and finally decided to change them. The impellers were near perfect and could have lasted much longer. Lastly, the exhaust pipe have a life expectancy. My started leaking around 1500 hours.

Yep, I hadn't hit the post button when a customer walked in. I do remember there were some good pics and his synopsis was always good for a laugh.

I changed out my raw water impellers this winter and will do about 120hrs this season. Sounds like you went a long time without changing them, maybe that’s the norm. What timeframe (hrs and or seasons) are people changing raw water impellers.

I personally have changed mine every year. I have been thinking about going every 2 years because they are perfect when they come out. I know there may be some wear you can’t see but I don’t know why they can’t go 250 to 300 hours. I carry spares so if I do have an issue I can change them easy enough.

Thank you folks for the info... Pretty excited for the Surveys this Friday. Also have a buyer flying in Saturday to see our current Regal 3760.
