You’re a genius! Now the root cause....Something is wrong with gfci. It won’t reset. As soon as I press the reset, it trips again.

Any chance the hot water heater is on that circuit? It’s not getting power either.

Thoughts?

Tim

Water heater has its own breaker. I would turn off the breakers a few times and turn them back on. If that doesn’t work, are you sure you have power to that side of the AC system? If you have 2 separate circuits out with breakers in I would double check power at the breaker with an volt meter before going too far.

Thanks! I'm 60" at the prop nuts and 58" at couplings. Until the boat is out of the water I won't know if the shafts are centered in the logs; they look like it based upon the dripless seal centering.
I am 58” at both props and tranny couplers. Sounds like you do have a fairly big alignment issue there.

In the stern lazzarette behind the cable master. Just aft of the waste tank.

No.

But, as soon as I flip the switch on the ice maker, it trips again.

Tim,

Try unplugging the icemaker and checking both the plug and socket connections (If you can reach it). Then plug something else into that socket and see if it still trips the GFCI. My next step would be to spend the $20 and put in a new GFCI...before you replace the $1500 U Line icemaker!!!

Pulled the unit out and plugged in on the dock. It doesn’t do anything. No fan, no compressor. And yes the dock outlet works, but does not trip.

I’m thinking it’s dead

I went with a Whynter ice maker in lieu of the U line. It was half the price!

Direct replacement or mods needed?

Tim

Pretty much a direct replacement. Only modification will be the water inlet which could easily be a coupling/reducer for the water inlet. I added a water filter in the engine room and also put a “T” in the new waterline 6” before the ice maker. I did this so I can purge the water line if I haven’t used it for a period of time.
