Happy New Year to all - it's hard to believe this will be the 10th trip organized and the sixth to bear the name of our good friend Dominic. We are excited to be returning to Atlantic City and the folks over at Farley State Marina at the Golden Nugget are thrilled to have us back. Here's the vitals...

Date:Friday, July 13, 2018 - Sunday July 15, 2018
Place: Farley State Marina, Golden Nugget Casino Hotel, Atlantic City, NJ
Website and Info: Farley State Marina
Dock Layout:
https://www.goldennugget.com/atlantic-city/amenities/marina/dock-layout/
I confirmed this date with Dockmaster Nick LaRotonda and reserved a block of slips. Once again, Rick (aka: mistercomputerman) and myself will be your co-cruise directors. We will also be assisted by Ken from the Berkeley Shores Homeowner's Civic Association. Ken was instrumental in helping us combine their annual trip to Atlantic City with our trip and without his help in organizing his group of about a dozen boats, we would have never had things go as smoothly as they did. The BSHCA is a great group of people from Dominic's neighborhood and it is a great pleasure to have their participation again this year.

As is the norm, I'll take PMs with boat name, length, beam, electrical requirements and captain's full name as I have to prepare a manifest for Farley State Marina. If you are boatless, please still consider attending and get a room in the hotel. We are going to have a few people who will come by land and air as well as by sea.

Don't worry about committing - you can cancel up to 48 hours before the arrival date. You will each have to call individually with your credit card info to reserve your slip, so just giving me your info does not reserve you a slip.

If you are unfamiliar with the format, we arrive at or around noon on Friday and start setting up for the "Table of the Gods" Friday evening. Most bring a finger-type food and a dessert but some will bring paper goods (cups, plates) and/or plastic silverware, trashbags, etc, which are very necessary items as well. This will all be pre-arranged.

THE NITTY GRITTY>>>>

1. We get a 15% discount on the slip rate - comes to $2.55/ft/day. Includes water, CATV & wireless internet. Electricity is $5/day per 30amp cord or $15/day per 50amp cord
2. Check-in is 1pm. Hail on Channel 65 when you arrive. If you get there earlier and they have a spot, they will accommodate.
3. CANCELLATION: we can cancel the entire Rendezvous as long as we provide 14 days notice.
Each attendee may cancel with 48 hours notice. Without 48 hours notice, you will be charged for one night's slip fee
4. By their rule, I have to submit the boat info to them and then you follow up with you credit card info to reserve the slip. If you don't call with your credit card, you will not have a reserved slip.
5. There is a new DockMaster this year so for now, I will assume that the points above are still the same. If there are any changes I will post updates.

This post (#1) will grow as the information from each attendee trickles in and updates are posted to this thread. Let the countdown begin!

Ron, Was dates 5-7 July not available? Those dates would work better with some folks planned vacations. Were in either way...

Hey Rod
Traditionally (other than Rendezvous #1) we've stayed away from July 4th weekend. Also, the Berkeley Shores group has an annual golf outing that we were steering clear of as well. They are about half of our attendees.

OK, we're starting the list in post 1. Sent all the paperwork in to Dockmaster Nick. He doesn't know if it's FakeFest weekend - the date for that has not yet been announced.

James, congrats on your 30th post. It only took 11 years.

I'm trying to stay ahead of Kinship

Jeff and Rod, glad to have you aboard!

Here's the video from last year's event, assembled by our friends over at Sea Ray. Shelby Kirby, SR's Director of Marketing has been great to us, giving moral support, all sorts of goodies to give-away and also funding our t-shirts. We are very lucky to have Sea Ray behind us each of the past several years!

Oh yeah, and some of you may recognize our pal Rusty Higgins, who has now become the Paul Bunyan of Sea Ray and is also a great supporter and friend to us!

Many thanks to Mrs. Shelby Kirby and Capt. Higgins for their continuing support. We need some new blood this years. How about some of you fence-sitters jump in and sign up.

For those that don’t boat in the area, I highly recommend traveling in for this event. I have come out from California twice and have had a blast both times. Getting meet the group is worth the cost for sure! There are plenty of hotels around if the Golden Nugget is too pricey.

I would like to stop by, live right across the inlet but still want to come and meet some people. Just got into the Sea Ray club and loving it so far.

Love to have ya Tommy. You coming by land or by sea?

Ok, can u PM me your full name, boat name, LOA, beam and power requirement. I'll get you on the list with the dock master which gets you the discount.

I going to just stop by i will not be spending the night as i said I'm right across the inlet in the cove area. I assume they will have you on H Dock. See you there, i will be holding the Tito's and a tray of Shrimps
