Anyone know how to access it?
got gas yesterday, between 1/2 and 3/4 nozzle kept clicking off like in a car. now i overfilled sea ray tanks before and it came out the vent hole, this didnt it just kept clicking off the nozzle.
so i suspect my sending unit is way off.
Ideas?

Never go "by the gauge" to fill a tank. Typical senders used in boats are notorious for being inaccurate. If you're on a trailer, that can skew things even more. Instead, the best way to fill up is to put your ear close enough to the vent so you can hear what's going on. At first, all you hear (and feel) is air coming out. As the tank gets close to full, it will start to change. When you hear the "gurgle", stop - you're full.

But... sending unit is usually accessed through either the bilge (may have to remove some things) or through the mid-cabin via either a removable floor panel or deck plate.

But, if the fuel gauge is working "normally" when you're on the water and using the boat, it's fine.

i found out that the water tank sits on top the fuel tank, and must be removed first. i am told its a big job. my guage situation is that half-tank read is actually full, empty read is actually half full. so i cant really use the 2nd half of the fuel because i have no way of knowing when i am really near empty. not sure what i will do at this point. there is a removable wood floor below the aft cabin bed cushion, i thought that would be easy access to the fuel tank / sending unit, but no such luck.

We have. 90 310da. My tanks are on the sides of the hull in a vertical setup. I had to replace the cork Float on the port side. This was easy to do as it was in the same hatch as my power switches. The starboard side is under a access panel in the rear birth/seating area.
