A request to the CSR Moderators

If I may ....this is more than the USA .... we have members from Canada here as well - likely other places too. I'm good with politics ... I don't mind if you believe the USA has a left, or if your god is a woman or Canadians live in igloos (or their Sea Ray ;p)... I really don't. What I don't like is when someone without much in the way boating knowledge gets belittled for asking what some consider a stupid question. The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked. Let's be nice and let's not censor anything ... with the exception of hate and racism. Let us embrace our differences and most certainly continue with the maritime tradition of helping those in need on the high seas (or great lakes). Peace brothers and sisters.

It's easy me especially to get caught up in all this BS. Most of us are old enough to remember when it wasn't this way. Between the News Media and everyone out there on the Web having a open mic it's hard to remember that 98% of it is unreliable Crap and is being thrown out there for effect. In todays world no matter what you think and no matter how strongly you feel about something there is someone spinning it for their own $$$ benefit with half truths. We are all intelligent here as a group to know that DC is banking on us as a whole to do what we are doing now. As long as they keep us fractured and going in different directions DC can keep pulling the BS they've been pulling behind the smoke screen. We the People still have the Freedom of Thought and Speech so far we haven't lost that yet. With that said just remember that as strongly as you feel about something someone else feels just as strongly . In the end going off on someone doesn't change anything and you are being played by DC and their partner in crime the News Media. I think CSR as a whole needs to take a deep breath and a pause and remember that we all Love our Boats, Life style and Community that we are all a part of. In closing a wisher man then me Once said its Better to have Hope in your Soul the Soap in your Hole these are words to live by.

 

I’ve never felt threatened, attacked or uncomfortable while participating in CSR. I do not like the direction a lot of things in the world are currently going but, let’s leave the CSR alone..
