Hi members,
meet have a 2017 350 DA with Raymarine networked multifunction screen (lighthouse II firmware version 19). It currently has good charts and Raymarine radar hooked up but no sonar. With spring hall out, I would like to swap out the standard depth transducer with a fishfinder but the upgrade options seem to be limited, with my local West Marine recommending a new Axios screen for $4K. They said my electronics were “ten years old” when it is a 3 year old boat??
I am not a huge fisherman but would like to upgrade so we can have CHIRP sonar and be able to spot fish activity if we want to throw a line in the water. Any advice here on what to do? Salmon season gets a lot of good gossip around the SF Bay and my marina was full of cruisers pulling in with fresh catches this fall. I am trying to understand if I can get a black box CHIRP upgrade without replacing the transducer or even the entire display.
