Hi all, I remove and pressure test our alphas every year. The port drive is losing 1psi (15->14) over a 24 hour period.

the manual says something like if it holds for 15 minutes at 15psi (which it does) that it’s good to go, but the other drive holds for days with no leak so this one is different. I’ve done the test 3 times with the same result.

what do you think, is it worth resealing? No water in oil after last season, very little top up throughout the year. My mechanic will do a seal job for $150 or so

I wouldn't sweat it one bit. The seals really aren't meant to keep oil from escaping - they're meant to keep water from seeping in. The results of a pressure test (unless obvious... hence the 15 minutes) DO NOT indicate if water will seep in.

Thanks guys. I was thinking that would be the case but seeing as the other drive held it threw me off.
