Anyone have WOT and cruise speed for 240 WE

We had 2 adults and 2 kids setup for long weekends and the 240 suited us fine. Pulling tubes etc. Same setup in the 260 was barely enough motor, world of difference.

I have an immaculate 1976 Sea Ray SRV240 with fresh repowered (worked) 351w, total of 4hrs on it and she's very fast, planes with ease!

Check out mine. Fresh repowered (worked)351w with 4hrs on it and immaculate

I have a 1979 srv weekender. I'm wondering if any one would know that kind of range I should be getting if keeping boat on plane. It has a 65 gal tank a Ford 5.8 351 Winsor Engine. If any one has any ide how hpg/nmpg/miles on one tank I should get? I don't even know how to begin caclulating it. It doesn't have a flow meeter.

We run 10-11 gph at 22-24 mph depending on our load. It's a 5.7 though and believe they run slightly better economy than the 351's. I would not rely on what the tag on the fuel tank says either for usable capacity. Our tank says 100 gal on the tag but would only take 89 once filled after reinstallation. If we are planning for more than 120 miles, we pack extra fuel. My guess would you should too approaching 90.
Best to get out and try some fuel consumption tests. Don't assume the fuel pick up in the tank reaches the bottom either. We found out the hard way that ours was broken off a few inches shy. It was old and brittle. Actually pack a spare now just in case.

Where you live? Alaska? I have 100 fuel docks within 120 miles?
Pretty much. A bit better than 30 miles from the AK border launching out of Prince Rupert. No reliable fuel sales within our tank's range out of our Kitimat launch. It's more common than not to only catch a few boats on the horizon when heading out for several days in these parts.
He was asking about fuel range. You could say it's a thing for us.
Should add, we trailer as well. I can buy my fuel at our cardlock for $.5 a liter cheaper than at the docks. That alone adds up to an extra tank or 3 over a season.
