Aqua Marine Deck installed

Hi JimG,

Congrats! The Aqua Marine Deck looks great. I got the same last summer. Since they are local, mine was actually installed by the factory. Thomas (owner) is great to work with.

Oh yeah, I know, if there aren't pics then it didn't happen so here ya go.View attachment 50274 View attachment 50275 View attachment 50276 View attachment 50277 View attachment 50278 View attachment 50279 View attachment 50280 View attachment 50281 View attachment 50282 View attachment 50283

How is your aqua deck holding on your hydraulic swim platform? Thinking of doing the same.

Overall its in great shape other than some careless, self imposed damage that I know is there but most people don't notice.

One from a friends big ole lab trying to swim / claw his way up on the platform while swimming. It was partially submerged about 1-2".

Another was the bow eye on my tender scraped the edge while going up and down while bowed in, folks were loading and unloading.

Last, If you don't raise the outboard motor on the tender high enough when loading onto the chocks, oh yeah that will leave a mark too. I know.

Oh well, at least will be cheap to replace as compared to repairing similar teak damage.

After one season it looks like new still. I have the beige with holly lines. Like anything else it needs love every so often. I def know it gets less hot than SeaDek.
Hi! Any chance you have a picture iof the beige with holly lines? Considering the same. And has anyone heard of installing with snaps to avoid the glue build up once you want to remove?
Thanks

Just my personal opinion, I have this on my swim step and don't believe it would hold up with snaps. It would tear, rip the snaps out, etc. Its strength/durability is in the stick down...

I have friends with the Aqua Marine deck and they love it. It’s held up really well for them.
I tried Flexdek available through Custom Marine Carpet and I’ve been really happy with it. It seems a little more dense than Seadek or similar. It does not get hot at all in the direct sun, my marine weave in the cockpit gets to be almost unbearable under foot.

I had to make my own template since I have a bunch of stuff to go around on my lower platform as you can see. It came out perfectly.

Thanks. You are probably right.
I got a great quote from Aqua Marine so I think I will go with it.
I appreciate everone's opinions.

That looks AMAZING! I'm thinking of Brown/Beach Sand. Have you found the light lines to stain or be a problem?
Thanks
Not too bad. Just like anything else on the boat it needs to be washed routinely. I did add a rug on the dockside where the boat was boarded just to limit the issue. It does clean up nicely though. You won’t be disappointed. I also loved the fact that it wouldn’t get as hot as seadek. It’s made of a different composite.

Are you making your own templates or do they have your boat template in stock already?

They have my template in stock but I question that it is exact, so they will dry fit it. Basically send me a milar piece with my template drawn on it that I can make adjustments to if necessary.
We have the 400 Sedan Bridge 2003. Anyone else use their file template for this model?

We are in the Northeast so the temperatures are not as much of an issue for us.

Another question, the line spacing you used is 2" or 3'?

I have the Aqua Marine brown and beach sand on my boat. I'm pretty happy with it. I t does get pretty warm in the direct sun.
