It's that time of year when the ice fishermen don't pay attention to the weather forecast and suffer the consequences. I knew something was wrong yesterday when I heard the airboats and USCG helicopter. Can you believe some guys actually jumped in the water???

I am a fisherman. You cannot explain fishing with logic. (or boating for that matter).

Ice fishing is at another level though. Every spring cars/snowmobiles crash through the ice trying to squeeze one last trip in before the thaw.

I saw the dnr come in off the ice yesterday on snowmobiles,pretty nice sleds ton the drive home from the boat i saw about 200 fishermen on the saginaw river in one bend .

Perch are the morel mushroom of fish...so yeah.
