Many of you already know that the Great Lakes Boat Top Co is one of the primary suppliers of canvas to Sea Ray for boat models 340 and under. Every spring they run a promotion for those people looking to replace their canvas with factory originals. Each piece they produce is guaranteed to fit if it matches their Hull ID lookup.

Our company, Cove Marine, is a distributor for Great Lakes as well as being a Club Sea Ray sponsor and we offer special pricing to all CSR members that are generally better than even the factory direct promotions they run. If canvas is on your to do list for this upcoming season, now would be a great time to start thinking about your canvas needs and getting quotes before the spring production times start to expand lead time and delivery.

I encourage you to contact us and let us help you with your needs. I will be happy to answer your questions and guide you through the process and make ordering factory replacement canvas simple.

Thanks
Kevin

Check me if I’m wrong, but I see you as a “well known member” but not a sponsor? If I am wrong about that I am sorry, but if I am not, don’t you think you ought to sponsor officially to do your advertising? Again, sorry if I missed something. Plenty of others have been called out for similar things.

Maybe you have missed our ads in the rotation above or your ad blocker is stripping them out. I can understand that.

So, for anyone wanting to reference our sponsorship see the link below:

Just to be clear I try to contribute regularly on these forums and offer plenty of free advice. While my personal account is "well known" it is my company that I linked to that sponsors the site through paid monthly advertisements.

Thanks,

I don't think they do the 400DA....

I'm prob. going to get a Sailrite machine and fix somethings myself...

Nope, as mentioned Great Lakes handles most boats 340 and under. The larger boats were handled by various vendors that we sell for also (primarily Boatswain's and Giola Sales) although some where done internally.

I highly recommend the Sailrite machines and I use one regularly. The people at Sailrite are also very nice and happy to help.

Ohh how I wish you guys went up to the 400's. I'm hoping to get my current canvas through one more summer before replacing.

I wish they did too! Unfortunately along the way many patterns were just trashed. With Great Lakes we can not get a match on an Arizona built boat even if it is the same model that they produced for elsewhere. That does not mean they don't fit - they just don't guarantee it.

As far as your canvas goes - that would wind up in the custom production side of the business - contact me personally if interested for a winter project. We would need you current canvas to pattern from. Do you know if it is the original canvas still on?

Alas they didn't do full camper canvases for any size. Just got a bid on that from a local shop and I am not happy.

Yes, but it's not Great Lakes as much as Sea Ray not ordering them. They only made what was designed for the factory.

I think the largest camper was for the 300 Sundancer.

Looking to replace all my tops for my 2003 300da only have the bikini, sunshade, and camper top. But want to change the color from the tan looking to all black and also get the visor and caper sides to fully enclose it. The ones I do have (3pcs bimini sunshade and camper top)I have say great lakes on the snaps if I order from them will they look the same the quality looks good on the one I have just all the zippers are bad. I wish I could see them in person before I pull the trigger. Any on have pictures of this model would really like to see what they look like on the boat. And is great lakes canvas my best option? The bikini and sun shade I have now have a nice smooth finish underneath like a second layer of vinyl and the tags say sunbrella. So I'm guess the new ones would be the same? Any info would help.

We just recently helped a member with a full re-canvas on a 2005 300DA and can use them as a reference.

North Shore Marina does a good job with canvas. I'm having an aft curtain made as we speak. Will post some shots of details when the project is done in the next few days. Their canvas maker used to work at the Tiara factory.

@chris sirizzotti: It means it is just the fabric pieces. Please call me to discuss and I will go over everything. Get my phone from www.covemarine.com.

I just re-read this and felt it was a little confusing so I wanted to expand...

When I mention that is it the fabric pieces only I am referring to the entire panel. That would include the zippers, weatherstrip, eisenglass and snap and studs (snaps and studs need to be installed).

Valances (the zipper part that goes into the arch track) are also a separate component.

The parts not included would be any part of the framing assembly including the actual frames, mounts, straps, etc.
