So have a 2006 B3. Brought the boat home the other day and last night noticed some 'seepage' around the one piece. Not sure what this entails or how hard it is to replace. Pretty sure the one leak on the starboard side is from around the vent plug but you can still see some seepage on that side too. I didn't have a chance to clean the outdrive last year so this seepage stands out now.

Had new bellows installed at the end of 2018.

I changed the O/D oil last fall but didn't have new gaskets. Plan to replace those this spring before launch so not surprised it's leaking.

Looks like maybe 3 bolts hold that piece on. What is it, what does it do? What do I need to do to fix it? Is it as simple as pulling those 3 bolts and replacing the gasket then topping off oil?

Drain the oil down and remove that cover. The cover is probably corroded where the o-ring seats.

Is it just those 3 bolts? Or does the top cover have to come off too?

Nope , but wouldn't be a bad idea to check that one out as well especially if corrosion is your problem

I don't think it's lime stain. Think it's more dirty water staining than anything. It washes right off pretty easily.

My swim platform had a rotted core in one section so I took it off to re-core over the winter but with everything going on, no heat in my garage and me being afraid of really screwing it up I decided to try inject a deck. It worked good so far but the closer I look the more tiny cracks I see in the gelcoat. Used Spectrum gelcoat paste and fixed a few but decided I think next year we will just buy a new platform from swimplatforms. They already have the template and sent me pics of one they did. $2300 shipped to my door. So that is the plan for next year. Just finished it up and buffed it. Washed the transom and going to buff that next before I put the platform back on.

Anyway, back to the outdrive. Not sure how much boating we will get to do this year. Already paid our slip fees so hoping to get to use it but don't want that outdrive leaking. I mean if oil gets out then water can get in. If the boat will be sitting in the driveway all summer then I'm going to try to get everything fixed this summer. Not much to do but might as well get it all done before next year.

My son got married in late October so with all that going on and pulling the platform I didn't have much time to get everything else done that I normally do.

Any idea on part numbers for the o-rings or whatever parts I need? I need to order the drain plug gaskets so want to order everything at once if possible. Will need to order more gear oil too.

Replaced that o-ring and the drain/vent plug gaskets. No more leaks. Today I scrubbed the outdrive, sanded a few spots that needed touched up and painted over them. Replaced the anodes and re-installed the props. O/D is done and ready to go. To-do list is getting smaller...lol

No pics of the drive all cleaned up? Looks really good above the water line. Hopefully you'll have it wet again soon.

lol. I can get pics. Didn't clean it perfect but just my wet finger was cleaning the grime off the O/D. Still have to buff and wax the hull if we ever get decent weather

This is the only one I have from this year. This was as we left picking it up from winter storage. Swim platform was at home in the garage. It's back on now

For the heck of it I priced new B3 stickers. IIRC about $140!!! What??? For about 5 stickers? Geez...

Thanks. Might have to order these
