Bahamas Crossing Summer 2021

Had we known well in advance we would have our boat in Ft Lauderdale for a week we could have planned to meet you guys out there for a few days.

Super Jealous!
Leaving again on July 8th for a 10 day adventure. Feel free to come down anytime during the summer we are crossing monthly. Warning once you come you may not want to go back!!!!

Here is one that we shot on the sand of Honeymoon Harbor feeding the stingrays that morning. This is so much fun as they are so gentle. If you ever go take squid and cut it up.

Feels good to back in Hopetown on Elbow Cay. Great progress has been made since the hurricane and things seem to be almost back to normal. Naturally, there are still signs of the damage.

If you get up around Treasure, throw us some pics. I assume the marina is still out of commission, but maybe there's some sign of life. My buddy's house on the point at the entrance of the marina got it pretty good, but not totaled. Our old condos next door........ not so much.
Spent way too many evenings at Tipsy. I've been following Dorian Rescue for a while, but not lately.

Looks great, hope you guys are having a great time…. You comping back to Lauderdale or heading straight for the Keys? Love to crack a beer with you and hear about the trip. We leave on July 8th for the Eleuthera

For what it’s worth the cdc just put the Bahamas on the “don’t go there” list. I thought the Bahamas were pretty locked down.

I can see this applying to people who travel to the Bahamas by plane and stay in the resorts in Nassau or Grand Bahama. I don’t think the CDC understands traveling to the Bahamas by your own personal boat and remoteness of many of the islands. IMO, certain areas such as the Exumas and the Berry Islands in the Bahamas are probably safer than most places in the US, primarily because you can isolate yourself as much as you want to…….

I agree 100%... I think the whole SE US is on the do not go list with now. I would much rather be on my boat in the Bahamas vs walking down the street in Ft Liquordale.

Seems like it’s the Bahamas that should be banning us from entry just based on Florida case counts in general. It’s a little arrogant for the US to point fingers through travel bans when things are on fire here....

Headed to Bimini the 9th - 13th anyone else?
