Beautiful end of December

wow. These last 2 days were unexpected.
5kt winds, high of 83, basically flat seas, but the cool water (67-69) keeps it cool overall. They said partially cloudy, but been pretty much full sun all day long. A bit of fog this morning by visibility was a good 5 nm everywhere we went.

This is what passes for a beautiful end to December up north. A little snow, a little sun and 28 degrees. Enjoy your warm weather!

This is Bunces Pass (between Ft DeSoto and shell key) the pic (with the 2 cruisers) is looking west, I was on the Ft DeSoto side. Just past those boats there were about 50 smaller boats pulled up on the beaches. The marina was swamped trying to get boats in the water, short staffed because of the holidays and they have basically been sitting around doing nothing for the last month.

Our weather has sucked this past few months. Rain, rain and more rain. We are 17" above normal for the year. Forecast for the next 4 days is rain, rain and more rain.

We are back in Clearwater. Came through the pass at 11 this morning. Spent last night in Venice, was a smooth water easy cruise. Pass to Pass shade under 3 hours.
