Hi all,
I boat on a in land body of water and it is very very remote when it comes to cell service, text, email and internet on your phone.
We have very high canyon walls and not always clear horizontal site however pretty good vertical line of site.

Have any of you used something like this? Any insite would be great. When searching on line there are a whole lot of options. Just looking for something that is easy to use and would be under $1200 to buy.

GlobalStar SatFi 2 Satellite WiFi Hotspot ... or ...

SureCall Fusion2Go 4G Boat/ Yacht/ Ship Cell Signal Booster Kit

At one time I owned a tour company in the artic. I used Global Star phone with data. I had unlimited voice and data. Data was very slow and it would drop out. Phone worked well. When I had it they were having problems with their satellites and they only functioned about 50% of the time. I have heard they have them 100% of the time. That is probably the rates have gone up. I paid $40 a month and the phone cost $1,600 for the first one and when they started to have problems it dropped to $400.
I used it on the boat until the rates went up. I how have a Williams cell phone antenna and a 3 watt booster. It works well and we can get service in areas we never did before. I connected the booster to a hot spot transmitter on the boat. I does not seem to matter cell phone type if one works they all work.

I have a Ubiquiti M2 bullet I use for internet on the boat. It works very well and just about everywhere. There are dead spots however as it is a WIFi repeater.

As to the phone repeater. I would opt for your 2nd listing. I was looking into one like that this year but the time got away form me this year and I never got around to it. Your first option states it needs to be used through an app on your phone. Not sure I would want to do that.

I use a NetGear LB1121 4G router and have a Ubiquity Titanium Bullets as well. I can’t get WiFi on the lake but cellular is pretty good. Biggest issue is data limits...just don’t have an option to get enough data to stream tv.

If you want to have both, I think you’ll need a cradle point router.
