Better Fenders, Taylor Made or Polyform?

FWIW, just shot this pic of all our fenders. We like the Polyform with the line passing through the center. 3 are set up with rail clips and 3 are not. When traveling, most of the time we don’t know if there are floating docks, pilings or ? Until we are approaching the dock. This seems to work as we can hang any of them from the rail vertically or use the ones w/o the clips and go horizontal without having to tie on lines. We use the small TM ball occasionally at docks and as the forward most fender in the locks.
They don’t look brand new anymore, but will clean up pretty good. The Polyform seem to cleanup better than the TM. 3 of them are leftovers from my last boat and all of them have been ground into more lock walls and docks than I can count. No failures of any kind. I don’t use covers because the cloth holds grit from the concrete lock walls. We also use a couple of fender boards on occasion that I made from 3” diameter pvc pipe. Hope that helps.

What kind of rail clips do you use?

Don’t know but I’m sure you’ll recognize the type. It says something”marine company” on the stainless part, to worn away to read. I can’t remember buying them. They Could have been on the boat when I bought it.
