Boat names anyone

I named my new Boston Whaler Dauntless “Got Whales?”. With the whaler harpoon below.....

My wife’s name is Elizabeth.
I wanted to rename our new-to-us boat the “Q E III” but she refused.

We have not renamed it because she is very superstitious. I’m still working on her.

My 32DA and 40DA were named SeaDuction. Not very creative and my wife hated that name. My 44DB was named after our wedding song. I hated that name. With a wife and 5 daughters whose names all start with K, once we moved into Sea Ray's yacht sized boats, my 52DB and 58DB were (are) named K-yachtic. My wife again hates that name, for no other reason than she thinks it implicates her as being part of the chaos. I've told her that not only is she implicated but she is where the chaos started. That doesn't usually help me in any conversation about the boat name when she's around. The girls like the name.....and the boat

Hey, I just bought a SR 220 with the name For Play. I had planned to change it to "The Journey" but it's been a crazy year so haven't gotten around to it,

A friend named his boat "For Play". I told him never expect me to call him on the radio. I just could not bring myself to say that on the VHF.

The owner of our boat before us always named his boats after James Bond girls.
ONATOPP "Xenia Onatopp" comes from Golden Eye.

My son is a big James Bond fan when he was little and watched all of them at least 30 times over. He and I would always walk the docks looking at the big boats. When he was six One day we stoped to look at " ONATOPP" and while talking to the owner I asked him what the name was. My son hit me on the leg and said " dont you know dad it is from James Bond golden eye"
As we walled away from that boat ( at the time we had a 26ft) My son said it would be cool if we had a boat like that ... I in turn said we will own that boat one day!
13 years later we bought it.

I liked it so we kept the name.

Good thing he wasn't an Austin Powers fan... Alotta Fagina could be an embarrassing boat name...

A friend of mine recently got divorced...and bought a boat. Told him to name it "After You". When he meets his next ex-wife at a bar and asks her name, he can say I have a boat named after you....and he would not be lying.

My favorite boat names typically revolve around a good story of some sort. It more personal I suppose. A connection with the vessel if you will.

On the hook a few weeks ago and this boat pull up and the name is “best wife ever”. Got to chatting and he says his previous spouse wouldn’t let him have a boat. His new wife was all to please to take credit. Pretty funny. Nice family.

Liquor Box. I got a good laugh out of that one. Our boat is named Speechless as my wife owns a private speech therapy practice.

I saw one on FB today named "Hooked on Tonics". Chuckled at that one.

Got her vinyl name installed last week. A play on a quiet title cause of action for a lawsuit. Yes, I’m a real estate attorney.
