Broke distribor tabs

Hi guys, was changing cap on 05 4.3 mpi, I think I just looked at them the wrong way and the tab on the base of the distribor that the cap screws to broke of. Aside from changing the whole drisritor is there any way to fix this, was thinking longer screws and maybe some large fender washers, some one told me about a specific repair plate made especially for this, was wondering if any body else has used this . plastic or aluminum housing, guessing its the crab cap type
If the housing is plastic there are no usable components in the housing so you could take a strip of aluminum 1/4 wide w x 1 inch or so ling x 1/8 thick .Drill and tap for the screw and bolt it to the underside if the dist body.

Being an MPI all the dist does is send the spark to the plug wires. No physical connection to the wiring. You could install a plain round type dist body and cap from a standard V6 motor
