Following this....Great job. A hardtop is one of the main reasons I would want to upgrade. If I had a hardtop, bow thruster, hydraulic swim platform and cockpit air and heat I would never get rid of my boat. Can't wait for the finished product.

are you adding accessories to underside of top, speaker mounts, lighting etc.

even at triple the cost plus shipping i would still be in for 1, this is the only reason i think about upgrading cant stand fabric tops.

Looks great
Jamie

Hi
No accessories underneath for me...speakers and LED cockpit lights are mounted in the radar arch already.

After I make my (2) tops, I am out but willing to sell mold for someone to use as a baseline hardtop mold.

After I make my (2) tops, I am out

I don't know if that's allowed here. If you show something this cool I think it's mandatory you have to build it for the rest of the members that want one if you have under 100 posts. It's not our fault that you posted before you had the appropriate number of posts. I'll take one. Who agrees?:D:D:D:D

Finally got some time off from work....
Pics of hardtop on old Bimini Top frame (just to hold it) while I look at angles etc...

Tomorrow I will scribe a line against to radar arch so that I can trim it to get a tight fit. Once I am satisfied with the angle of the top and the fit against the radar arch, I will make some marks on the top and radar arch for the mounting tabs/slots as well as the areas to remove the balsa core so that I can put in something solid as a backing plate for the two support arms.

Then remove it and back in the garage for fairing, final hardware etc etc

Looks great. Anxious to see the finished product.

Let me know if you want to bring it to the West Coast to see if it's a dead fit for a 370DA too!
Edit: Looked at a bunch of 370/380 pics and our arches are very different.

Looks awesome! Can you elaborate on the method of attachment when you say tabs? Are you going to glass it in or bolt it?

By “Tabs”...I mean to cut a 1/4” x 3” slot in six places on the radar arch (female). The hardtop will have six 1/4” x 3” fiberglass tabs glassed in to the arch mating edge (male).

Hardtop Tabs will slide into Radar Arch slots after being coated with Plexus MA350 adhesive. Joint will be finished with either 5200 or?...haven’t decided yet.

Top will have two vertical support arms that tie back into windshield frame....either 1” stainless tubing or welded aluminum.

I was looking for a hardtop for mine and I guess the only way is to make it or have itmade
