So the exhaust fan in the master head has started making a noise. Not to awful just yet but its not going to get better without some action on my part. I have looked for some way to access this fan with no luck. Anyone else had to address this issue ? Is it possibly behind the frig ?

Between the fridge and masterhead there is a bulkhead.
To access the vent you remove the cabinet behind the right mirror. Watch out when you remove the last screw that the cabinet don’t fall down. How to remove the vent I don’t know yet (didn’t have to do that).

Mine is making a lot of noise though and maybe in the future I want to replace it also. Please post when you find out how to remove the vent.
Also a bad thing of our vent is that now it’s getting colder, and when there is a wind blowing in a bad direction, that cold wind is coming true the vent inlet and makes the bathroom cold. No back valve or something is installed.

good luck with dismounting

Thank you Marc. I will take a look at the inside of the cabinet to determine if there is access there. As for back flow of cold air, or any air, i have always installed a piece of open cell foam into the outside vent covers. Keeps bugs out as well.

Hey how are you? I have to make a correction on my previous post. The box that is behind the vent covers is nothing more then a connection box between hose and vent cover.

Yesterday I was behind the refrigerator and saw the 2 motors (1 galley and 1 bathroom). Take the refrigerator out and replace the 2 motors. When the refrigerator is out then access is very easy. I already put them on my list for next winter :). I forgot to take a picture, srry for that.

do you have Detroit’s in your 500? V6/V8?
Send me some photos of your 500, always nice to see.

Completely unrelated (and unhelpful to your situation), I've had buzzing in my head for years.
