Sorry to post this again, just figured it may get lost in the old 340 thread.
Anyone found an LED replacement bulb for these fixtures? I think the bulb is a #53. The ones I found on Amazon don’t look like they’d fit. Thanks!

Yes, I replaced all 3 of mine with LED (2 under the v-berth bed and 1 under the main steps into the cabin) as well as every overhead light. These small ones are a common minibulb size. It's best to pull one out and look for the markings of bulb type, otherwise measure it. I can take one out this weekend when I go to the boat if someone else hasn't answered by then.

Without looking at mine, the #53 looks to be about right, and I believe I got 5-led clusters to replace them.

Yes, those are the 3 I'm swapping out. The bulbs in there have some numbers stamped into them but I couldn't find a good match. Maybe I need to check another bulb.

Thanks for the responses. I'll check them out. If you confirm that those from Superbrightleds fit I'd really appreciate it.

Happy Boating Season!

Don't forget to check that the new LED bulbs do not interfere with your VHF radio as the CG suggests.

!
If you have the bulb handy, please post a picture of the bulb and the stamping.

I ended up ordering these from Amazon.

Perfect fit, no polarity issues and the price is right. Light is a little to “cool” for me, prefer the warmer incandescent look.

Ah yes, sorry, I forgot to check mine. BA9S sounds familiar and correct. You can get "warm white" versions that match incandescent coloring... something in the 3-4000K range would be good. You likely got cool white, which is too blue for interiors.

I did all warm LEDs in my cabin. I have those floor lights (3) the overheads by the v-berth (2) and the head (2). Above my galley I have a 3-bulb track light that has LED as well. All the same color.

Here's some BA9S with an option for warm white: https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...-4-led-ba9s-retrofit-car-classic-car-bulbs/6/

This is similar to what I put in my overhead square fixtures by the bed and in the head. https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...ed-bulb-27-smd-led-tower-ba15s-retrofit/2622/

I got warm white for below deck and put cool white in the transom area where I had the same fixtures. Then, I put LED strips from the cabin door all the way around the back to the driver's seat, all under that ledge. 3-color+white. Looks and works great by remote. All that took a LOT of time to wire and figure out, but now I have everything on a dimmer and the strips on a remote. All my above deck lighting is more in the cool range 5-6000K, warm below deck 3200K.

Here's some in red, which is excellent for night because it's the easiest on your eye's night vision.

Looks good. Thanks for the help. I’ll check it out.

I’ve got all warm white LED’s in cabin and cockpit. Blue LED’s in Arch and cabin steps.
My old boat was set up similarly.
No problems with VHF interference.
Did speak to a guy last year who had interference problems with his VHF but he narrowed it down to the LED bulbs he installed in his dash gauges so he replaced them with the original incandescents and the problem disappeared.
I never bothered going with LED’s in dash (or running/anchor) lights so don’t know if it would make a difference.
Probably depends on the LED bulb and radio.
My son has a 2005 GP. No factory USB’s. He used one of those little USB adapters in his cigarette lighter that has a little blue LED lights in it to indicate power. It interfered with his factory radio.
I put it in the cigarette lighter receptacle in my 1968 GTO and no problem at all with the 50 year old original AM/FM radio in that car.
