Calling all 360 DA owners

We've never used the shower on board so I can't say. Yeah my batteries are always in check by me its one of my "pet peeves" and I get crazy over them. I don't ever want to be concerned about their condition or level of charge.

Bought a new faux-burled wood dash panel. Anyone have any ideas how to get the switches off the old panel.

Thanks for the feedback on the shower cleaning.
We have the similar flexible blade. And you're right.....you have to stand at the toilet. Not too easy, but doable.

Thanks.

Hi guys another club member over the pond in UK.
Owner 2002 360 DA or should I say International 395 version. Great boat.

Just spent a few days away from home port in the southern Chesapeake Bay. Had a great time at Waterside and Cape Charles, my first "big' trip. I am building a "gripe list" of things that need attention.

Here are a few; starboard analog dashboard RPM indicator, port fuel tank sending unit, water temperature sending unit, holding tank level sending units always showing empty. My GPS unit was offline, but it looks as if it was either the fuse holder or 12V spade connector had bad connection, as I reseated both and now have no issue.
I do have a current issue that was discovered. The Rule 800 bilge pump for the shower sump quit. Luckily the “forward emergency bilge pump” picked up the slack but the dash alarm would sound every time it kicked on.
It looks like Rule no longer has that specific pump, I don’t know if anyone knows if there is a direct drop in replacement, or not.
Ideas?

I'm not sure why you have to stand at the toilet to reach the back side of the rounded acrylic. I just push both sides to the center position and move them around while reaching with a microfiber until the shower doors are clean. I use the squeege for daily removal of water drops on the acrylic. Quick note.... my strata glass cleaner protector works great on the acrylic doors.

Also make sure the track the acrylic doors slides in is clean. A stiff bristle brush and a little scrubbing bubbles works for me. The downside is that you need to make sure and secure the doors with the snap strap when getting under way. They slide a lot easier once the track is clean. I bought my 360 as a project boat and scrubbing was the first order of business.

So I yanked the Rule 800 out of the shower sump. My troubleshooting consisted of bypassing the float switch and the pump didn't run. Didn't have a volt meter, so when I get it on the work bench and applied 12V, motor spun like new.... Meanwhile back at the boat I found the breaker in the engine room had been tripped (note to self, check all fuses and breakers before pulling any device!). I put the original pump back in place and re-wired it back in and it works just fine. The backflow preventer is toast and have a couple on order, they are easy to swap out. I have a replacement pump on order (new old stock) because Rule no longer makes the 20R model of the 800 GPH. Word from Xylem Inc. is a new shower sump box is in process to utilize the "New Rule 800" that comes with an integrated backflow preventer.

Any enlightenment on why he breaker may have tripped?

First weekend using the shower, first day no, issues. Second day, "Emergency Forward Bilge Pump" took over duties with associated dashboard alarm once the sump filled and overflowed. Sump showed signs of needing a good cleaning, mostly from the toasted backflow preventer, but not super nasty and no clog in the pump strainer nor pump inlet.

The areas in between both pieces of glass, and the areas around the square blocks for the track (on the shower doors) are the most difficult to use. My wife is using Shaklee Basic G, and that seems to keep these doors really clean. The squeegee obviously works well too.

Holding tank question - any ideas as to how to clean the tank level sensor? My tank is empty, but the indicator in both the head and AC panel read 1/2 full. I did confirm my tank is empty, as we pumped out this weekend. It read 1/2 full still, so we filled the tank with water, and pumped out again. Visual inspection on the side of the tanks confirmed it was empty.
Thanks for any ideas.

I have used some kind of "sludge" cleaner from an RV store. Not sure how good it worked. You can remove the gauge sensors from the holding tank and wipe them off. A couple of years ago, Mine was stuck on 1/2 after pumping out. Wiping the sensors off worked. I would glove up 1st....

He sensors are on the right end of the filter..

Same deal here, except the indicators are stuck at empty, not looking forward to this one. I have heard of someone putting in some ice and going out on run, but I think that would take a lot of ice!

Are each of the white "plugs" sensors? Do they screw in/out? I won't be back out till Friday, but want to get as much info before I tackle the job.
I read about the ice method on an RV site as well, but no one said it worked well. Thanks in advance for the info.

It was a couple of years ago, but I think they just pull out. I don't recall them being threaded.

OK. I'll look at it Friday and post what I find.
By the way, what is the secret for posting pictures? Is a Silver or Gold membership required?

Posting the pictures is not really the issue, it's storing the pics. Looks like photobucket has changed some policies, so without silver or gold, I think you get to store up to ONE picture on CSR.

Back to the vacuflush... As I mentioned in a previous post, my indicators are stuck as well and I will need to service them. I'm pretty sure I over-filed the holding tank and have since modded my vent filter to be refillable. (Yes, there was fluid inside of it)

But I have a small issue that maybe you folks who have already had the pleasure of servicing your vacuum system may be able to assist me with.

I have some reddish-brown 'dribblins' in the port side engine vent hole (outside). At first I thought it was exhaust from the vent, which led me to mod then clean and replace the charcoal in it. But now I'm thinking it may be from the vacuum pump itself.
Does the vacuum pump have an actual exhaust directed towards the portside vent?

I'm guessing if I flooded the tank, I probably flooded the pump as well. I'm thinking I should rebuild the pump and swap out duckbills while I'm up I there.

Tips anybody?

Quick note on the pic question. Tapatalk is an app that allows pictures to be posted. Just started using it a couple weeks ago

I'm interested in knowing how many 360 DA owners are on CSR, in case I want to direct questions your way using PMs. I am aware of Two Peas, PMvdb395DA (Peter), My3Sons and BOZ. Any others? Is there enough of us for an "official 360 thread"?
I have a 360
