Calling all 360 DA owners

Happy Monday folks! Just checking in to see if any anyone has any experience with repair/service of the sliding cockpit door. Mine seems a little rough. I’ve blown out the tracks and used some dry lube where I can. I noticed the access panel on top but don’t see a way to get to the bottom. Thanks

Might find access to it in the head. Mine has a removable panel with 8 screws on the wall above the vacuflush

In response to the sliding door access.....There's a panel in the head, above the toilet. I believe that is your access to the sliding door. I haven't tried this, but everything lines up with it. It is sealed, so you will have to re-seal it when you go to attach it again. Good luck.
As for the stereo.......other than the mute with on the remote, I have no idea. Fuses maybe? Let us know what you find out.......on both items.

Another question....I want to swap out the weak horn in the anchor locker. I've searched the forum, and found a link about newer models having a stronger horn. The owners manuals that I can find have the same part number. I've looked at the Kahlenberg(sp), but don't want to spend that much money! Has anyone replaced the horn? With what? How? Like the comments in the other posts stated, the thing sounds like a duck!
jsed, before you spend any large $$$ on a horn, remove the wall panel next to the bench seat behind the helm seat. On some models Searay included a small air compressor and valve for an air horn. That is what I found on mine. Running control wires from the helm and replacing an old airline is on the agenda for this summer. A nice chrome air horn is planned

I have to replace the rollers this season WAIT until you see the pricing on the parts. And from what I understand its not the easiest to do. But I have gotten it stuck a few times and its NOT pleasant getting it unstuck because it was slammed to hard.

I did a Kahlenberg set factory direct and LOVE them,

Searay-parts.com might have them as well.

I have had several people slam my slider open. I found lifting up and then over worked pretty well. Yours might be different though

I've had to loosen everything up then use a 3 ft pry bar very gingerly to get it back on track.

Phasma, thanks for the info. I will definitely look there the next time I go out. I didn't see anything about the in the parts list, so I'd be surprised to find something there! I'll let you know!

I am thinking about replacing the very worn out mattress in the main cabin on my 360. Kind of an odd ball shape. Anyone have any recommendations?

We just put a memory foam top on it and its really nice now. The prices for replacement mattresses are up there. There is a company that custom makes them but it escapes me.

Same as TNT, we put memory foam on top. Works like a charm. I believe my wife purchased the foam from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. New mattress is too expensive. Other things to spend money on right now.

TNT, did you buy a new boat?

Yes....we finally pulled the trigger after looking at the 48DA's for a few years.

We put on a foam topper but latex, not memory foam. The latex is all natural & doesn't have what to us is the "dead" feel of memory foam. Overstock & Amazon have good options.

I just ordered a latex foam topper from Amazon. Thanks for the heads up Third Edition. I agree about the dead memory foam. This forum is invaluable

Are you saying that on your 360DA there was already a compressor and valve inside that access panel???

I bought the boat used. When I pulled the side panel off there is a compressor and valve in what looks like a factory install. It had not been used in years as evidenced by the grime and dust. I ran a jumper and applied voltage and it worked. I was told by an older gent in my marina that Searay had as an option an air horn. I have not bothered to verify his info but it sure looks like OEM

TNT.....congrats!!!! Must have been a recent purchase then, since we just saw you over the 4th. Hope to see you and the new boat up north again this year!

Thanks jsed!! Didn't really plan on selling, but we received a ridiculous offer shortly after Labor day, and countered with an equally ridiculous offer. Ended up meeting in the middle. We'll definitely be up North again this year around the 4th, and hope to see you all again!

Very very expensive winter. Strip, sanded and new bottom paint. Starboard engine completely rebuilt. New steering hydraulics and Indoor heated storage. I will be glad when all I have to afford is Captain Morgan and gas. My checkbook is empty. Time to find a few new contracts and make a few bucks before the temps start rising and the boat goes in.
