Calling all 360 DA owners

Did you find the leak? Sorry if i missed it in an earlier post.
Hi Mitch - I didn’t find a leak and the tech who soldered on the recharge port said he’s done a lot of these but because the coil is built into the unit it could be impossible to find. Hopefully it buys me another few years.

Yea, a/c leaks can be tough to find. Did he add any uv dye with the recharge?

Bottom Line,
Sorry for the delayed response. Been in the bilge alot with injector and aftercooler issues. When I put a volt meter on the converters, I only got around 5 volts when I was running off the batteries.
Yes the DC frig & freezer switch on the DC panel is left on and I use the thermostats in the units to turn them on and off. The boat sits in the canal behind our house, so I don't keep the units on when we aren't using the boat.
I disconnected the AC wires from the AC converters and removed them from the units.
Then I attached the DC wires to the block on the back of the units. Simple!
Good luck with your project.
Dennis

Dennis....I’m jealous that your boat is on a canal at your house. I bypassed the MPS-50, and the freezer has been cold for about 10 days, so I think the power supply was the problem. I have ordered a new MPS-50, because I would prefer the freezer to run on AC power when I’m not on the boat. I will install the new part this weekend.

NMEA 2000 Starter Kit (8M0110642). Who has installed one of these to update electronics? I am installing a Vessel View 403 and it must be installed with the NMEA interface. Pretty sure my Raymarine RC520 will also connect to the NMEA. Double checking that my boat does not have the NMEA 2000 already installed as I have looked high and low for any signs. All I currently have is one 4-Way J-Box.

Hey Jeff,
Glad it's working out for you. Having the boat behind the house has been a great both for projects and to gear up for trips! I have the shore power connected and have the battery charger on so I figure if I need to run the 2 frigs & freezer, it gives the charger something to do.
Cleaned & remanufactured injectors going back in tormorrow. Then a sea trial. Heres hope'in!

I upgraded my SeaTalk to SeaTalkNG, and installed a NMEA backbone with drops to the Fox Marine gateways for my 555 ECM/PCM. Installed used 7" and 9" eSeries MFDs. Now have engine data on the MFDs. Very nice. Also had a new LCD screen put in my Autopilot, and got a used GPS receiver. Couldn't read the screen on either, now both work great. Sold the Pathfinder chartplotter & radar unit. Have no radar now. Never used it anyhow.

Just off the phone with Mercury Marine 4th tech person; he said the 403 does not need to be installed with the NMEA2k. I will attempt to only connect one motor to the 403 and see if data is active. If this works then I can add a second J-Box and move the Port engine wiring to that box. Would still need two more wire harness's which are on back order. I might get this running by the end of summer at this speed.

Good day Gents...have had our 02 360 for about 6 years...went to the boat today and found no power to the cabin fridge when on AC power, but cooling when on DC. The cockpit fridge is ok on AC or DC. For troubleshooting,Is there a separate supply for the two fridges or just the one...

The fridges and freezer on my 2006 all have their own power supplies.

My cockpit fridge is on separate power than the galley, AC and DC both. In the galley they are powered by an inverter behind the freezer. Up topside it powered by port power systems AC and dc direct to dc with inline 10A fuse

Just ordered the Fox gateways because my guages are getting really inaccurate. Im thinking of removing most of the analog gauges and adding two more MFD's in their place. Did you do anything similar? i already have an 8" and 7" MFD but might buy two small ones to cover the gauges if removed.

The PO removed the tach’s and I moved the Garmin 942xs to the side where the original Raymarine was and added the 8612 to the center. I can get the tachometers on the Smartcraft and on both the Garmins. I had my mechanic run the network And gateways over the winter so can’t give much details on the install BUT I love have all the data on the Garmins.

Has anyone replaced the duck bill valves on their vacuflush. Ours is cycling frequently and my research tells me it is the duck bill valves since the tank is holding water. Just wander how big a job it is getting to them on the 360.

Easy job replacing duckbills. If you are going to do it then replace the bellows as well. Pump is on the top of the waste tank on port side of engine bay. Pull the 4 mounting bolts, then channel locks will loosen the black plumbing sleeves. I used needle nose pliers to pull the duckbills out. Make note of the directing they point. If you get it wrong you will be redoing the job. The duckbills just push into place. Super simple and self explanatory.

As for the bellows... as long as you have the pump unmounted.....Unbolt the pump armature, pull the waring harness jack. You will see a number of machine bolts that hold the pump together around the outer ring. Once the top is off, there is a two part....not sure what you call it other than a retainer ring. Once again replacing the bellows is easy. Reassemble and flush to your heart is content

@Phasma thanks for the info. Marina had the duckbills but not the bellows. Going to order online and wait until I have all the parts so I only do it once. Looks like the hardest part will be getting the mounting bolt off that is behind the pump to the stern. Being 6’ 4” makes everything in the engine compartment a challenge for me. Just exercised the engine and generator seacocks and had to lay on my stomach in the bilge between the engines. Not fun...
