Engines
Was 310 HP MPI --> Twin full 454 Mer-Cruiser 400 hp "Gas Aspirated" Less to worry! Works for me!
2017-12-14 11.52.05.jpg 2017-12-14 11.52.33.jpg Problem is on my 00' 340 SD and that I'm Running a Xantex 3012 to run off of two big AGM Batteries and "Part of this (AC) setup is working"!
And "I do get AC to the Main Boat Panel" ----- But NONE to the "DC side of the Main Panel"
Part of this I don't understand in that ----This Xantex when its turned on is Charging both the AGM Batteries.
So why is it that Its not routing the DC to the Main Panel?

Some Info: The input to the Xantex 3012 is from either from "Shore Power" and or a "6000Watt portable" unit and both have given the same results. (NO DC to Main Panel)

I'm going to Check the other Electric Panel near the Engine Bulk head and see if I can check the lines out going from the main Panel there with a Fluke Network Probe!
In that maybe there's a SHORT there or maybe a wire that gone bad ?
Note: Any Help or Anything would be nice! Maybe send an Seeing Eye Dog to help!

Both your DC panel AND the DC connection of the Xantrex need to be wired directly to your batteries, effectively putting them in parallel.

You did remove or isolate the standard on-board charger when you installed the Xantrex, right? I once saw a guy try to charge his batteries by running the standard charger off the AC produced by his inverter.

Ans: YES! there was a Pro Marnier 30 that was Not connected.

ANS: 1) The Xantrex are wired right from the Batteries into the Xantrex 3012 + Post with an ON OFF Switch with a 300 Amp fuse --- Then the Negative - also is attached there as well.

ANS) 2) INCOMING from Shore or Generator, Those AC wires + White color to N ,Attached to the L1 Color BLK, and - attached to Ground Cable (to the upper Places noted on Photo for AC IN)

----->I'm not sure what you mean by Both need to be wired directly to the Batteries? ? ? ?
----------------------
The wiring as noted! Was really working so well and the Xantrex Monitor was stating that the AGM Batteries were really taking a Full Charge! all the Lights were on as well as TV, Microwave !!! Then Notice that NO! DC current at all!

There should be continuity from your DC panel all the way back to the batteries. There may be one or more battery switches, fuses or breakers inline on that run, any one of which could interrupt that path.

The Xantrex should have absolutely nothing to do with getting power from the batteries to the DC panel.

Check that 300 Amp fuse to verify that there is 12V+ entering and leaving it.
Ans: I will do that next time I'm on the Boat And will Reply here.

Your right Bobeast! in that the Xantrex 3012 has nothing to do with getting DC to that main Boat Panel!
And:
It was a "300 Amp fuse" coming in from the Batterie to the 3012, I Put a New 300 Amp Fuse in and it now getting AC 12 Volts to that main Boat Panel, as well as its also charging the Batteries!-----
Houston! I have Continuity!!!
