I'm sure those who frequent already know by now. I believe I read it sold for 19 million dollars. I just received a questionnaire from the new owners about what I like and don't.

I'm hoping they don't try to revamp everything and increase prices to the point we look elsewhere. Or worse, don't fix anything and try to get by and still raise rates.

I love my trips there and missed going this past summer.

With a 19M purchase price, it would seem prices are going up!

Old thread but. Going there next weekend. I wouldn’t be going if it wasn’t for a few friends that I’m meeting up with. Only staying a couple days, but at $9 a foot with a 37foot min is insane. No more rafting also. Payne’s I’d still 4.50 a foot with no min but the wife won’t raft or climb the wall.

We are going a week from Wednesday. Too bad we won’t get to meet. Not a cheap trip. We are staying four nights Wednesday through Sunday. I tried to convince my buddy we should go to the boat basin where everyone has their own slip but he still wants to do champlains one more time.
Also - Sent you a PM a while ago - not sure you ever saw it

What dates? I'll be there 19,20,21. No not a cheap trip. Theres no more rafting , so you'll have your own slip.We were supposed to do Newport 17,18 then run to block 19,20,21. But because of the upcoming weather were running to Newport this Monday the 15th-leaving 19th then doing block. Good thing is gas has come down a bit. I called Paynes and there gas is like $5.00 a gallon. Not sure of Champlins. The last I looked it was $6.20. wtf. Newport is at $5.25

We arrive on the 24th. I asked last week about gas price and it was $7.03. :(. We are looking at going to Old Saybrook on the way to fill up so we won’t need gas on the island. We planned to extend the trip and stay in Greenport for a night but that did not pan out. Have a good trip and hope to catch you on another trip. Besides, I really wanted to see your flushing system:).

How was the trip? I ended up with Covid a week before I left and no one was comfortable traveling with me so my trip got canceled:mad:.

Was the marina full?

To be honest ...I will never go back there again. Just some things.. at 9.50 a foot you get this..I waited 45 min outside the gas dock before I get pulled in. They forgot about me and pulled in other boats. Really wasn't that busy. Pull to the floating dock and it is so old my wife and all our friends almost kept falling off it because it was so wobbly. My friend lost his scooter in the water off it when it wobbled so bad, and it was laying on its side. The bathrooms were disgusting. They didn't keep up on cleaning them and the toilet was always clogged with paper on the floors. The garbage cans were overflowing and in the morning they were never empty. At 8am still full. Pool was falling apart, with tiles falling off and just ugly. Prices of food was out of control. I asked for 2 bacon egg with 2 coffee. He pulled out a pre made sandwich in plastic and heats it in the microwave, $32. Ballards...LOL 1 Mich ultra and a wine, $26. Now I'm not complaining about money. I'm not happy with the price to quality and what you get for it there. We went to Newport before Block and it was Awesome. MUCH better then Block and less expensive all around.
