Change knock sensor (Mercruiser 5.0 MPI)

Hi.

Anyone in here who knows where the knock sensor is placed on a Merc 5.0 MPI engine from 2002. Can't find this in the manual or when I search on google.

Look on the STB side of the block in front of the starter.

on my '05 mpi its just above and forward of the oil filter boss on the block (forward of the pressure switches)

What makes you think you need a new knock sensor - those hardly ever go bad.
