How hard is it to change the engine coolant in 3196 Cats. What tools are needed and how much coolant to refill?

My manuals are on the boat two hours away and trying to get everything in line before I head down to the lake.

There is a plug, I have not had to drain coolant in this boat (yet). Here is something from Boatdiesel, I cannot find a drawing. I think you will find it easily enough with this info:

To drain the system, there is a pipe plug near the circulating pump on the starboard side of your engine. It's down pretty low, about the same level as the transmission cooloer give or take a few inches. You can follow it from the heat exchangor to that point. Buy yourself a brass fitting to match the pipe plug size with a nipple on the outer end. Then attach a hose to the nipple and drain the old coolant into containers.

Thanks for the info. I will check it out.
