Hi guys, started to change impeller on my alpha 1 gen 2 out drives.took out top drain screw then bottom one ,screw looked fine,no metal shavings but the oil just drips out .seem to get more burping out the top than dripping from bottom. Stuck a small wire in the hole to make sure it's clear, seems fine. Is this normal or should I worry. Drive is in garage about 50 degrees thanks again tony

The oil is just thick from being cold. Leave the drive down with a drain pan under it for the night.

Remember, fill from the bottom and replace the seal on the lower plug. Take the prop off and grease the shaft while you're there. (No jokes please).

Yes, probably just thick. If you have an air compressor, you could blow into the top hole (about 10psi is all you need). If you really wanted to get crazy, you could aim a heater at the drive for a few hours. Replace the seal on both plugs. It's not worth saving $1.
