Engine: 2006 350 MAG MPI with the Gen 3 cool fuel module.

Cleaning up the innards of my cool fuel module, replacing pumps and pressure reg, aware of the paint chip issue, having my injectors and rail cleaned, etc.

One topic I have never seen discussed is the check valve in the cool fuel module. (See attached part diagram)
The Mercruiser service manual details stripping down the CF module, and various performance test and problem-symptoms, but completely ignores the check valve, and a call to Mercruiser tech help shed no light on it either. Pulled mine out and it had wear grooves in the bolt where the spring has been rubbing -see pic

The parts kit looks like it includes a seat that is pressed deep inside the port on the module.

Has anyone had success replacing that seat? It looks difficult since it is down inside the small port.

Anyone traced problems to this check valve?

So I believe if you bring it to a Authorized Mercruiser Shop... Mercruiser will replace the Cool Fuels, With New Pumps, Filters, Brand new Injectors and all you have to do is pay for Labor... Mercruiser will pick up the cost for parts...
