Every time my inflatable spends too much time under the canvas, it gets mold spots that are hard to remove. My brother-in-law owns a detail business and recommended making a paste of Arm&Hammer and bleach. Use a medium bristle brush and scrub the hypalon. Worked like a charm with minimal effort. After that I washed with soap and water, followed by a good rinse. When dry I applied 303. Looks like new!

Mine gets dark spots on the tubes from the canvas scuffing in the wind. I'll give it try, thanks

Bleach alone did not quite do it for me. I was, however, a bit reluctant to heavily soak it in bleach. The grit from the baking soda did the trick with minimal bleach.

I have very good results with Shurhold's Mold Away

I also use Aurora Boat Care inflatable boat cleaner, works great on Taylor Made white fenders too

I get some mold spots in the cockpit upholstery during the winter, under the cover. Rag soaked, then rung out, in 50/50 solution of bleach/water - laid over the spots, in the sun. Spots disappear after about 10 minutes. The spots I get are confined to small areas so I actually use a paper towel but a rag can be use for larger areas.

This also works great on those plastic flip-up foot controllers for the windlass. Make the look like new, no scrubbing.

I have used a product called MarineStrip on shore cords, fenders and vinyl. It worked wonders and is recommended for inflatables too.

Mike- I clean my water line at end of season with Tilex and a brush. It does a fine job .Your brother in Law has done good by us. We tried a small area of paste of Arm&Hammer and bleach. Let stand for 5 minutes or so. Used gloves and minimal scrubbing. After soaking with the 303. It sure does look like we just bought it.
Very Please with results.
Mike

I use an aggressive cleaner like Purple Power and an aggressive brush. Then I rinse it well and protect it with either the Aurora inflatable protectant or just 303 protectant. Looks new when completed!

I ordered nautical ease inflatable boat cleaner. Easy peasy. They don’t have a web site yet but the company that makes it is rvroofing.com. I heard of it on here and tried it. Freakin dinghy looks new
