Having new made for my 1995 290SD should I stay with the teal?
Or go with the newer look of Taupe. The cockpit interior is almost all white.

I would go with updated colors.

My 250 (97) is white, with black/tan trim, and tan canvas. It was THE look of the late 90's. But now, I have a new Cockpit cover which is black. It really updates the look of the boat. If I need to replace the rest of the canvas, I'll update it as well.

Just make sure that it matches the trim and the like.

Go with the color YOU like. It looks like you have a teal stripe. Did you like the old color? If your getting new canvas to sell her, then I might get something more neutral like taupe.

The teal stripe is coming off. I'm not selling I just bought the boat in Nov.
Have not had it in the water yet. Can't wait for spring!!!

The taupe looks dated, I'd go with one of the new colors, black or navy..

Some times I think original is the way to go.

We've got lots of SRs in our port. I think you could count the ones that have teal on one hand. Most popular colors are taupe and blue and a few blacks. The blue and black ones are really blue and white or black and white or mostly white depending on the seagull population in the area. Here's a thought. Why not do a white cockpit cover with a waterproof material (as opposed to Sunbrella) and then do a Sunbrella camper that is a different (or not different) color of your chosing. Cockpit covers take a beating due to birds and blowing dirt. Your camper will last 10+ years in a northern climate if it's only up when you need it. The white cover, while dirty, will still look pretty good after years of use because it will not show as much dirt as colored covers.

You have point. The wife says taupe. Bet the cabin has alot of teal.
The next thing you know I will be taking the teal carpet out. And putting
taupe in.

Since you are having new Canvas made. Maybe pick a Color that is less common. I like the Charcoal Canvas. Sea Ray has moved away from the tan canvas. My first boat had Dark Green Canvas and we thought it was great. I hated the tan canvas. It was so common. Our new boat has Black Canvas. But if the 320 came with Dark Green Canvas that is what we would have picked.

You may not have the heat we do, but my first boat had black canvas.....and it was my last. It was kind of like a black car.......sharp, crisp and unique look when the canvas is clean and not yet faded, but hot enough to bake humans in 90+ degree sun.

We had the Dark Green before and never had a big issue. Plus our docks are covered - so I don't get much Sun Fading. But if my boat was stored uncovered... - Frank has an excellent point.

I don't mean to hi-jack this thread, if anyone can PM me or help me in any way I would appreciate it. I have a 340 dancer with the standard canvas. I want to extend it to the back like a camper top. I am wondering what kind of price I'm looking at and any suggestions on where to go. Thanks Norm

I don't think Sea Ray offers a camper enclosure for the 340. But here's one option:
