Compartment under the helm seat?

Hi all...
I have a 2004 320. The area under the helm seat looks pretty spacious. Anyone have a clever use/storage idea? I put my small bag of tools there and normally the covers for the rolled up canvas in there....thinking of a storage basket or something like that...

Idea's??

I have small baskets (old square plastic ice cream containers) and small thin stacking containers with covers. These are organizing most loose items but I also have my hand held spotlight and tool kit in there loose. I keep hose ends and nozzles, a 12v inflatable pump, misc tools, gloves and spares, plus more.

I removed my helm seat to have it reupholstered during the winter, removed the tracks and cleaned up. My intention is to use a set of stainless hinges to reattach the bottom platform for access to the space beneath the seat
