Throughout the years we've never had a reason to convert the dinette to a sleeper and therefore haven't done it. After spending last weekend on the boat we decided to drop the table and see how it sets up. Can anyone post a pic of their dinette converted and show what filler cushions go where, etc? I'm thinking we don't have all the filler cushions as we couldn't make a complete sleeping area. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The filler cushions are a separate piece for your boat. See if they're hiding in some storage spot. The most logical space is probably under the bench seats... but then 'logical' and 'previous owner' don't always go together.

One tidbit I learned on my 400 - some OEM cushions actually fold in half for storage. So the cushion you are searching for may be hidden away in a place you wouldn't think it would fit.

Good luck in your search!

You know that those seats slide out towards the port to Elongate berth?

Yes, and to further clarify, I have the filler base (in addition to the table) and I have 2 small cushions that fill in either side of the seats. What I don't know is what fills in the middle? If I remove the velcroed center backrest, it is not deep enough to fill in the fully slid out bed.

Well in my 2004 290 Amberjack the seats slide out, the table and filler base go in, then the 2 filler cushions, then take the back rest that is velcroed on dinette seat and lay it in there and then in the bed under the stairs you take the back cushion off that is velcroed there and lay it in the remaining spot.

I believe there were some changes made over the years. I just looked at the parts diagram for his boat and it clearly shows a separate cushion. Your parts diagram... it does not.

Ok, i thought they were the same for 6 or 7 years. Good to know.

This is why I was hoping someone had a pic of their setup they could share. If I slide the bases out and insert the 2 fillers against the outside wall, I have the entire middle to fill in. The 2 velcroed panels (above the table and mid-berth (#34 in pic), are only as long as the dinette bases themselves, leaving an open area the width of the filler cushions. Per my parts manual, it appears that the dinette filler cushions (#21) may be full length and the velcroed bolsters are not used. Either way, I may just measure and have 2 full length cushions made.

I found this video of a 2001 AJ. At about the 1:13 mark, it shows a before and after dinette conversion. Not sure how it was done though.
