Been thinking about replacing my canvas cabin carpet liner with the Corinthian Aquamat, but in talking to them, they say this isn't the correct usage for it. Has anybody tried this in the cabin and if so, did you place over the carpet, or remove the carpet?

I have done it with Infinity woven PVC with good result.

Works great you just don’t need the “aquamat” backing. You just use their regular backing in the cabin as it lays flatter and easier to to stay in place as it has just a felt backing. It is designed for non wet areas

Snapped over the carpet just like runners. Steps are snapped on the top only (pic was before snaps were installed)

Thanks. How did you cover the face of your stairs? Your picture shows the top covered with the Infinity, but I don’t think you extended it down to the front face of the stair?
See my reply in the prior post.

Did you lay on top of existing carpet?
It looks like he did, I can see carpet on the edge. I really like the looks of this. I think I'll have to get with Quint4 for my salon.

Yep, Sent the runners for a template. Did the snaps myself. Mine has a foam type backing. I really like it. Easy to clean. Doesn't wrinkle like the sunbrella runners.

We did it over the carpet in our 340DA. We love it!

I used Corinthian with the felt backing on top of the existing carpet.

For those who have gone this route, how does the material wear? Does it develop wear areas where you walk frequently? Any drawbacks? Sure looks great and easier to install than vinyl plank flooring!
