Davit wear?

I've always had Weaver davits in the past and now with the new boat, want to avoid the motor on/off drill so am looking at the handful of davits like the Hurley or Nautley. My question is, do the support "arms" create wear on a soft bottom inflatable from movement or vibration while underway or from loading/unloading? I'm guessing not but thought I'd throw out the question before I make any investment in a davit system.

I’ve had Hurley h3 for 3 years and haven’t noticed any wear at all
