I have a 2008 330DA. Does anyone know if there is another main DC breaker after the battery switches that control all the power going into the individual DC cabin breakers? Battery switches are on. Have power to cockpit, nav, bilge lights, etc but no power to head, interior cabin lights, power vent, stereo, etc. Just had the boat serviced yesterday for AMP meter problem and wondering if tech blew a breaker that controls all cabin DC accessories or if it is something else. Thanks.

john....i know this sounds silly but did you check your shore power connection and if theres any juice coming through?????

The shore power is on and have no problem with any AC circuit related items. Seems like 2 DC Mains with one to the cockpit/engine and other to cabin to run the lights, head, stereo. It's that cabin DC main that is the problem. Not sure if there is something behind the breaker panel that acts as a main breaker for this DC main. Thanks for your comment though.

looks like there is something disconnected behind the electrical panel. there is no additional breakers and fuses

Boatmailster, I will pull the panel in the morning to verify. By any chance do you know if the battery rotary shut off switches have any type of fusing/breaker internally or they are just purely a switch? That is the only other thing I can think of. Thanks again for your input.

I don't know how your boat is wired... but... My 480 has a master 12v breaker for the panel breakers on the panel... In fact... I blew it tonight... It's under the bridge stairs on the 480DB but I don't know where yours would be. On my boat, it's next to the rotary battery switches. I would think Sea Ray uses the same strategy across their boat lines. But I'm guessing.

All this 12v Audio/Video/computer stuff I put in the salon is overloading that circuit... so I'm off to yank out the damn halogens so I can stay within the 12v budget for that wire which is powering the entire salon.... or I may have to run a bigger gauge and put a bigger main 12v circuit breaker and put in a bigger converter...

Boating sucks.

Take a look at the wiring schematic in your manual....it would be detailed there if you have one.

Breaker panel in the engine room?

it is just switch and they don't fail to often. there shouldn't be any breakers between panel in cabin and battery switch

I think ABYC requires a fuse or circuit breaker near the source, which would be near the battery switches. Not having a breaker until the panel, which is probably a run of more than 20 feet of wiring sounds like a mistake. ...and a fire hazard

John-Burgess - I'm having the same problem on my boat. Did you ever get the problem fixed? What was the cause of the problem? Thanks!

Sorry but that boat was a nightmare and I traded it in shortly after posting. I don't recall what the solution was.
