Deck window caulk

Got a couple spots in my caulking that are sticky and soft like it’s dissolving. Not sure why.

What’s the best caulk to use?

I was thinking of re-doing mine with 3M 4000 UV.

Are you talking on this inside or outside? This probably isn't marine worthy but I've sealed the inside of my cockpit windows with typical exterior clear silicone. Cleans up easily, drys flexible, and can be removed if I really screw things up.

its probably not caulk that you see, but more likely the bedding type sealant that searay used is like a butyl tape caulk that tends to not harden and squeezes out.
