I assume this question has been asked before; but due to changing technology latest information would be of help.
Looking for a small 5" chart plotter for dinghy that has water speed by probe and by GPS, depth with with fish indicator, built in GPS, and can be loaded with charts.

I went through the same question over winter. The only 5" I could find was a Simrad and the reviews are awful. Their 5" plotter has something like a 2.5" screen. At that point you're better off using a cell phone, sans the fish finder capability.

Perhaps there are new options since February but if not, I think you'll be out of luck. Lots of nice plotter options open up at the 7" size but not so much 5"....

With the exception of depth, the Navionics app for the phone or small tablet would work great. Just get as mount for your phone and your done.

I have that G05" Simrad on my 360 Highfield. It works great for my application as I only need basic navigation and depth readings. Its preloaded with basic maps(cmaps) and it does have sonar with water temp. It's also connected to my 40HP Suzuki and reads all the engine data. I was realistic in my expectations of such a small MFD and so far am very happy with it.

I put Garmin 5" GPS/plotter in both my Whalers and love them both. Typically of Garmin stuff, they're easy to operate, accurate, fast screen redraw, etc.

I bought a Humminbird for mine. 5" screen and fairly compact. Also does side-scan. The one thing it doesn't have though is a paddlewheel for speed...it just uses GPS.

Not quite 5” but if you can fit it look at the old a65/a67/a68 raymarine on eBay. They’re small and great units
