Docking a cruise ship

I guess it happens to everyone.
Geez ...don't say that ...it hasn't happened to me

For some reason there has been a lot of videos recently of ships running into each other or running into something... Hopefully this doesn't continue

The family and I are cruising out of Fort Lauderdale this coming Saturday heading down to the ABC islands. Hopefully I won't get a chance to video something like this. :D:D:D

I think you’re good.

It appeared to me that the Capt of the Glory couldn’t get his stern into the wind, and he couldn’t go fwd because his bow was too close to the Oasis.

The Glory is shaft-driven. RCCL’s Voyager class has Azipods. They can produce enough sideways thrust to make the ship heel. (I bumped into a wall while they docked too aggressively once!)

Bonaire is one of our top destinations. No commercialization and great snorkeling opportunities. If you get to Bonaire, stop in to Gio's for a phenomenal ice cream treat.

Thanks for the tip. Glad to hear that about Bonaire. We were in Aruba and Curacao January 19', but we have never been to Bonaire. We loved Aruba, but that might be because we explored it by UTV for 4 1/2 hours off the beaten path.
